With less then a week before I head off to begin my adventures, I thought I would post updates on everything.
On Saturday I received my visa, with just enough time to leave. My plane ticket has been bought, changed, changed again, and finalized to an almost perfect schedule, with a day lay over in Miami. Bags have started to be packed, though still a little left to go. I have been informed about the family I will be living with. They are a family of 4, with a daughter that is near my age, and a 2-3 year old son. I will be staying right outside of Florianopolis, in a smaller city about a 15 minutes drive from the centro. I will be arriving into Florianopolis on the evening of the 3rd and spend the first week in orientation and what will occur after will be determined at that time. Other than this basic knowledge, not much is known. Also I have not tried to make expectations, instead I am going in with an open mind, and just going to go with flow.
That sums up my quick update for what has occured. I will post more once I have landed and settled in.
