The Beginnings

With a little bit less then 100 days left until I leave the USA and head to Brazil, I thought I would start my blogging.
After my foreign exchange year  to Bologna, Italy, I became determined to travel all around the world, next major country for me to visit was Brazil. That dream became a reality in my freshman year at the University of Tampa. I will be traveling to Florianopolis, Brasil with ISA. I will be spending a year in the country and while there I will become fully immersed in the language, learn the culture, and see how the other side of the world (literally speaking) lives. Everything is falling into place, final paperwork is being finished, and on August 2nd I will be starting my adventure.
During my stay I will be writing about cultural discoveries, challenges/personal growth that I face,  and about my overall experience there. I will give you an insight of all the small simple joys in life that I  encounter to how one person can travel abroad, leave their comfort zone, and start a new life that only lasts for a year, before one must return back to reality and to their old way of life.

Before ending this first post I just want to leave you all with something to think about:
To me the secret to happiness is living out of a suitcase, traveling around the world, enjoying the simple things in life, and embracing other cultures and people, even if that means having little money; instead of living in a big house, having all the money in the world, and never being able to go and visit another place or learn about a different culture then ones own.
